Clinical Supervision

Gillian Tuyp Counselling is an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) with the B.C. Association of Clinical Counsellors, and have been providing supervision to counsellors since 2018. Through various leadership roles at Cameray Child and Family Services, I have supervised teams of counsellors primarily focused on counseling for children and youth as well as parent support.

My extensive knowledge in play therapy, child development, parenting support, and attachment theory lends itself well to supporting fellow counsellors providing service to families. My goal is to foster a collaborative, safe, and encouraging environment for clinicians to make mistakes, learn and grow!

As an approved primary and secondary supervisor at several B.C. universities, I can assist master’s students successfully complete their clinical practicum supervision requirements. I have previously supervised students completing Master’s programs at Adler University, UBC, and City University, and am familiar with the supervisory requirements of all programs. t.
